On the weekend of 3rd and 4th February I was lucky enough to be on a workshop with Landscape and Travel photographer David Clapp, Website: David Clapp. I say lucky as the weekend was being run by Dorchester Camera club and my friend Pat and myself were invited to join them. On Saturday we met in Lyme Regis and spent a whole day with David wandering around the town where he chatted about all things photography. One of the highlights was using three tripods on the pebble beach to help us understand the technique of Hyperfocal distance and using Live View in the camera across the bay so we could see it in action!

The weather was very cold and grey with rain at times but it didn’t dampen our spirits. We had a long day and learnt a great deal hoping for a good sunset at the end of the day, not to be just a little colour in the sky.

The worst part was climbing up the steps with all our heavy pack of camera, lenses and tripod at the end of the day but we made it!
