I had been working towards a LRPS distinction with the Royal Photographic Society for a little while and on Sunday 2nd March 2014 I had the honour of being awarded my Licentiate Distinction from the Royal Photographic Society. The distinctions have three levels of namely, Licentiate, Associate and Fellow memberships and are recognised worldwide as setting the standard in photographic excellence.
LRPS (Licentiateship of The RPS) – images of a high standard of photographic execution – demanding but achievable for most dedicated photographers. Applicants must show variety in approach and techniques but not necessarily in subject matter. – See more at: RPS Distinctions
For the LRPS I had to produce a panel of ten images showing different techniques but they also had to look good as a panel…the 11th image.
