During the summer months my photography turns to smaller things! The wildlife is not so visible then and the light except in the early mornings can be too stark for landscape photography.
Again in the area where I live there is some places where I can go to see Butterflies, Damsel and Dragon Flies and all sorts of insects. Indeed having a flower garden and living near a river there is lots of life to see!
There are a few places I like to visit, Alner’s Gorse a 15 minute drive away which is a Butterfly reserve run by Butterfly Conservation. The grassland is being restored by clearance of scrub and Dartmoor ponies grazing . Martin Down a Nationl Nature reserve towards Salisbury on the Cranborne Chase which is chalk grassland to name a couple.
